The following is a typical list of activities for each day on the Hiking Trip.
Day |
Activity |
| Sunday | Arrive, check in, relax around the camp fire. |
| Monday | Hike Lost Maples State Natural Area. Steep, rugged, beautiful limestone canyons and crystal clear streams. Mystic Canyon evokes memories of the Apaches and Comanches who once called it home. |
| Tuesday | Hike Hill Country State Natural Area. Five minutes from Rancho Cortez, tucked away from the rest of the world. This park was donated to the state with the stipulation that it be kept far removed and untouched by modern civilization. There are over 40 miles of hiking trails. |
| Wednesday | Garner State Park. Just outside of Utopia Texas on the banks of the Frio River. Enjoy hiking, tubing, and bike rentals. |
| Thursday | Stay at the ranch. Enjoy the fitness classes or go on a trail ride. Our massage therapist is also on duty. |
| Friday | Enchanted Rock State Natual Area. Just outside Fredericksburg on the Big Sandy Creek is a huge pink granite rock held sacred by the Tonkawa Indians. Now designated as a National Natural Landmark, it is a challenging climb, a breathless view, and an experience not to be missed. |
| Saturday | San Antonio Missions National Historic Park. Each trip we focus on a different segment of the 20 mile hike/bike trail. Sites include: The Alamo, Riverwalk, Mission Espada, Mission Conception, Pearl Brewery Farmers Market, Mission San Jose, Mission San Juan Capistrano, Sunken Gardens, and the San Antonio Zoo/Brackenridge Park. |
