"The kids gained confidence riding and we got that special time with them uninterrupted. The people that worked this ranch were efficient, helpful, and were REAL cowboys. The kids even ate the "ranch food" the kitchen made. It was tasty! The rooms were great as well. We even got to see a world-famous trick rider."

"The staff was excellent from the owner on down. They made you feel at home the minute you checked in and by day four you were no longer a guest but part of the ranch family. The cabins were nice and clean and the food was great! We will go again for sure. In fact, my granddaughter is going back to camp this summer."

"We chose the half day dude ranch. We had a lasso lesson from the owner, Larry Cortez. He is hilarious and you will enjoy every minute. You get a wagon ride to feed the longhorns and other cattle. There are photo opportunities every step of the way. Be ready with any questions. Larry answers them all with humor. "

"WHAT A DAY! We had no preconception of what to expect on a dude ranch. These guys could not have been more helpful and obliging. Throughout the day they were incredible. So helpful with advice and information about the ranch, the surroundings, the horses - everything."

TESTIMONIALS

Hi Rancho Cortez, I am still delighted at receiving your emails.  Don’t know if you remember me but I am Juan Ortiz and I came down to your beautiful ranch many years ago from New York.  Everyone on staff was so good to me.  You really helped me on my journey to weight loss.  I loved the hike (except when the wild boar chased us). Paul was a great driver and guide.  The exercise programs were fantastic.  The horseback exercise was different.  But the best thing I got out of it was the food.  The portions to be specific.  That was a turning point.  I don’t remember what I weighed when I went but I was at one time 293 pounds and currently 175 pounds.  I wanted to say THANK YOU and how much you helped the beginnings and transform my life.  I am now 62 years old and I have attached my latest photos.  Who knows maybe I can come down just to get a bunch of workouts in at some later date.  God bless and thank you again.
